Indirectly related, but worth mentioning, is Hans Rosling’s talk on global poverty at TED: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/140
He steers away from hot buttons of causality, but it’s still nice to see a bit of positive energy about the global fight against poverty.
